Embracing Engineering and Innovation: Malaysia’s Ashraf’s Journey at ASCA TECH LAB

Hello, everyone! My name is Ashraf, and I’m thrilled to share my journey as an intern at ASCA TECH LAB. Join me as I dive into my projects, aspirations, and thoughts about the future.

Project Overview

Let’s start with my project, which revolves around exoskeleton technology designed to support and replace the function of the rotator cuff in the human body. We’ve aptly named it “Valorcuff” because it symbolizes the courage and hope we aim to bring to those with malfunctioning rotator cuffs. Our mission is to help people regain control of their shoulders and lead improved lives.

Additionally, I’m excited to collaborate with my friend Yusuf on his project, “Pneumaglide,” which focuses on assisting wheelchair users in getting inside a car. Both projects share a common goal of enhancing the lives of individuals in need, and we’re determined to achieve our objectives.

Challenges and Growth

Challenges are an integral part of any project, and I’m ready to tackle them head-on. Here are some of the expected challenges I anticipate during this journey:

  1. Integration with the Human Body: Ensuring seamless integration of our exoskeleton technology with the human body is a complex task that requires precision and expertise.
  2. Design Excellence: We aim to create a product that not only functions effectively but also looks aesthetically pleasing, making it user-friendly and appealing.
  3. Time and Mental Management: Balancing project timelines and maintaining mental clarity can be challenging, but I’m committed to managing both effectively.

Evaluating Progress and Achievements

In my pursuit of progress, I have a simple yet powerful mantra: “Better.” Each day, I strive to become a better version of myself than I was yesterday. I will closely adhere to project timelines and ensure that every step brings us closer to achieving our goals.

A Future in Engineering

The engineering industry is where I see myself thriving. Whether it’s through my own engineering company or working with organizations like ASCA TECH LAB, my mission is to use my skills to make a positive impact on society. I want to create innovations that push the boundaries of what’s possible and give back to the community that has shaped me.

Contributing to Society

Education is the key to solving many of the world’s problems, and I’m passionate about educating others. With a background in engineering, I aim to share knowledge and values that can benefit individuals and communities alike. Education is a two-way street, and I believe it’s a limitless journey of growth.

Thoughts on Japan

Japan, to me, represents both an opportunity and a challenge. It’s an opportunity to explore, learn, and embark on a new chapter in my life. At the same time, it presents the challenge of adapting to a new environment, meeting new people, and facing unique experiences. My father always encouraged me to see the world, and Japan is the perfect place to begin this journey.

A Message to My Future Self

Dear future-self, remember that life is filled with hardships, but you’ve conquered many already. Keep pushing forward, one step at a time. Focus on what truly matters, love yourself, and never give up. You have the potential to achieve great things, and I believe in your resilience. Stay committed to your goals, and you’ll make a lasting impact on the world. You’ve got this!

Thank you for joining me on this exciting journey of self-discovery, innovation, and engineering excellence. Stay tuned for more updates as I continue to explore the fascinating world of technology and make a difference in the lives of those in need.
